The Monastery of Vallbona de les Monges is a beautiful monastery, and has for eight centuries been cared for by cistercian nuns, who have never left it since it was founded in the twelfth century. You should look around the church with the tomb of Queen Violant of Hungary, the choir of the  church where the nuns hold their prayers, its spectacular fine dome, the cloister, which blends romanic and gothic styles, the chapterhouse with a statue of the Virgin of Mercy and the chapel where you can admire the Virgine of the cloister, a Romanic work whose face bears an expression of great gentleness.
